Ensure all personnel have gas masks Fire hazards with certain munitions If indoors, has a gas plan been completed (LCT 50)? Age of occupants or protestors Known medical conditions Evacuation/Surrender Route Arrest team identified and in place Dispersal Order/Order to Surrender Natural Gas line open in residence Hostages/Captives/People in hiding Evacuations of neighbors Fire Extinguisher or Fire Dep. Staged Weather and Wind Speed/Direction (consider using smoke (OUTDOORS ONLY) to determine speed/direction) Fire Hazards Collateral Contamination Location of suspect(s) Does suspect(s) have gas masks Location of bathrooms (deny access) POST DEPLOYMENT Decontaminate people exposed Ventilate property (Fire Dept. fans) Photo/Video scene, all damage and munitions when practical Collect all spent munitions Document what munitions were used, what order and who deployed Post a "Chemical Agent Warning Notice" on the door DECONTAMINATION Cool water to remove OC from eyes Wind/fans will help to remove CS Blow nose. Discharge particles Wash with soap/water. Not Oil based Shower with cool water. Consider using baking soda Major discomfort gone in 5-15 min.
